3. project structure
Structure of the nutrition program
The nutrition program is designed to work with schools and village communities. It includes the delivery of food, the training of parents and teachers and the monitoring of food distribution.
1.Organization
Training for teachers, parents and village elders on the correct preparation of soy-corn porridge and compliance with hygiene rules.
2.Storage room
Ensuring that the schools have suitable storage facilities. If required, support is offered for the construction of warehouses.
3.Water access
Checking access to clean water for preparing meals, support in building a well if necessary.
4.Distribution of meals
Local volunteers, often mothers, are responsible for preparing and distributing the meals.
5.Reporting
Regular visits and monitoring of schools by ForAfrika staff to evaluate progress and check stock levels.
6.Teacher-Parent Committee
Formation of parent-teacher committees at the schools to oversee the daily organization of food distribution.
