Relief operations

Children are our future. That is why we are investing in the infrastructure of schools and daycare centers.

"Education is a human right with immense transformative power." - Kofi Annan

Nevertheless, schools and preschools are in a poor state in many areas of southern Africa. We renovate infrastructures or even build new ones with the help of volunteers from Switzerland.

KITAs in South Africa

The need is great. The improvised daycare centers in the townships of South Africa often consist of shabby, leaky and poorly insulated huts and are anything but child-friendly. You can change that. Helps to create a colorful and child-friendly environment for the children. Support our projects in southern Africa with a donation and/or lend a hand yourself and become part of a volunteer makeover mission. This will enable the construction of a new daycare center in South Africa.

We are building new classrooms and erecting an outdoor shade roof.

We are building an office which will be used by the director for administrative work and also has a hospital bed for sick children. We are also installing a kitchen so that the ForAfrika meal can be prepared.

We build toilets and provide running water by installing water tanks. This ensures the necessary hygiene and prevents many diseases.

We equip the daycare centers with blackboards and, in some cases, toys to promote fine motor development.

To promote an understanding of agriculture, we also create school gardens where possible. These also serve as nutritional supplements for the pupils. The sale of the surplus harvest also serves as another source of income for the school.

We fence the playground and lay the grass. In this way, we offer the children a safe environment in the middle of the townships. This allows them to grow up in a child-friendly environment and let off steam.
